Frequently Asked Questions

What do you need for class?
• All students must have their own Personal Snorkeling System including the SSI Dive Log. Aquatic Center of Ocala recommends the purchase of a total Diving System, which contains all of the equipment you will need as a Scuba Diver. Many students take advantage of this program because they enjoy the added comfort of being trained in their own equipment and they save on rental fees as well as the total equipment costs. Your instructor will assist you in the selection and custom fit of a system that suits your needs.

How soon do you need your equipment system?
• Please DO NOT purchase any equipment until we have have met with you. Aquatic Center of Ocala will reserve a time for you to be properly fitted into your equipment system prior to the first session. Aquatic Center of Ocala guarantees your satisfaction.

Where will you complete your certification dives?
• You will join us for two days of fun-filled open water diving. Sites vary from Manatee Springs State Park to many other well known local dive locations. If you choose to complete your program with a resort facility, we will provide you with a complementary Universal Referral package.

Is your certification international?
• YES! Aquatic Center of Ocala certifies under SSI (Scuba Schools International) , the largest "store based" international certification agency in the world.
